We complain when things go horribly wrong, –and I’ve done my fair share of complaining– when they don’t work the way we want them to. We blame it on design flaws, bad programming, or sometimes we just make an entity out of nowhere so that we can have someone/something to blame.
From the looks if it, technology, although it really does make things easier and people more productive, it makes us more and more frustrated than the people back in the days of rotary phones and black-and-white televisions.
Aside from the fact that it has been more difficult to please people despite of how fast technology is evolving, our patience for things grows smaller and smaller. There’s always that desire for instant gratification with as little effort as possible and more complaining.
We all probably have even the slightest idea of how simple and primitive people lived life back then, but they were happy. We should even be happier now that advancements in technology have made life more convenient. If we only look at it at a different perspective (i.e. think of how it would be like without them), it could just save us from the frustrations that would eventually make life ever so crappy.
